Hi! Welcome to my blog. My name’s Amy. First of all, I am a Christian. I was saved by God’s grace at the age of eleven. (You can read my testimony here). My foremost desire in life is to honor and exalt my glorious Savior and King! I want every part of my life to be lived in a way that magnifies Him! I love having good discussions about spiritual things, and studying and memorizing Scripture!
I’m fifteen, the oldest daughter in my family. Did I mention, I have the most amazing family ever? God has blessed me with the two most wonderful parents ever and six siblings. I have two brothers – Daniel and David. Daniel is older than myself. He’s a cartographer and avid language learner. His maps are pretty impressive! And he’s learning Greek, Hebrew, and Latin. Then there’s David my little brother. Basically, he’s a lot of fun, as he goes about being…David – trying to improve his speed at running races, learn the harmonica, play with his sisters, and the list could go on.
I also have four sisters, all of them younger than myself. There’s Bethany, Carissa, and Ellia (my roommates
) and then our newest, precious little sister (called sugar pie, as we haven’t decided on a name) who hasn’t made her grand appearance into the world yet. Her due date is October 26th!!!!!! Can you tell someone is more than slightly excited? So yes, my sisters and I all share our cozy lavender bedroom, and have a lot of fun. Bethany is really diligent, Carissa’s favorite thing to do would definitely be to read, and Ellia is the most adorable little family entertainer.
So a little bit about myself. I am fifteen years old, and a junior in highschool. I’ve been homeschooled all of my life. After I graduate, I hope to study elementary education at a community college close by.
I really like music and art. As far as music goes, I like listening to it, playing it, and singing it. Right now I play the violin, piano, and guitar, but would definitely learn more instruments if the opportunity to do so would ever arise. And if I’m not playing music, I’m often listening to it. I like classical music (specifically by Vivaldi, Mozart, and Chopin), English renaissance (a newly acquired taste picked up this past summer), fiddle (I’d really like to learn how to play it sometime!), and some Irish/Scottish. For art basically all I do is pencil drawing (mainly portraits). And I’m not too good at it, but I enjoy photography as well. I’ve not really done anything else, but sometime I’d like to learn…colored pencil, painting, pastels, any of them would be great.
Other things I like include sewing and crafts, the country, horses, taking walks, reading, learning about other places and cultures, and (definitely!) spending time with family and friends.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your visit. Oh and feel free to leave comments. It’s fun to see who’s visiting!

Hi Amy,
This is Mrs. Young, Sarah’s mother. I am really proud of you. Algebra is quite an accomplishment!
I am glad to see you all are doing so well. I was reading some of the other comments. I noticed you know Elizabeth E. We know their family a bit. Went to a home meeting with them for a few weeks, but it didn’t work out. We don’t really keep up with them anymore but do run into them at our state home school convention.
I really like your updated about page!
Laura
Amy, you are such a precious young lady and I loved reading your about page. I think you will be a fine teacher. I noticed that you like classical music and you like Vivaldi, Chopin and Mozart. I am sure then you are familiar with Bach and Beethoven as well? There is another gentleman who plays such music that I really enjoy listening to and if you have not heard of him or listened to his music you can check him out on YouTube; his name is Yo Yo Ma. Yeah that’s right his name is Yo Yo Ma
Keep chasing after God girl!
Yes, I am familiar with Bach and Beethoven. I like their music very much. All of those classical composers wrote amazing music! And I have listened to a little of Yo-Yo Ma. He’s really good!
Thank you for your kind comment.
